Lighting Design for the trades & Creative Assiduity – the first of its kind and the only course devoted to Stage Lighting Design in India, was inaugurated by Smt. SharmishtaMukherjee noted Kathak exponent and son of former President of India Shri Pranab Mukherjee in July 2017 in collaboration with Jan Shikshan Sansthan under the MHRD, Govt. of India. Presently Cameo Light Academy has joined hands with State Resource Centre, Kerala for the conduct of the course and the instrument of the same will be issued by NSDC.

What's the gem lighting fashion?
Gem lighting derives its name from the art form in which a light relief figure is set against a darker background. It helps concentrate on the subject and not its terrain. Gem lighting can be used with a filler light, which reduces its starkness. It's the contrary of a figure, another type of chiaroscuro lighting.
In moviemaking, gem lighting refers to a limelight effect in which a single subject is accentuated by lighting with the background remaining black.
Gem lighting is frequently achieved using barn doors with important lights as softer lights are infelicitous to produce a strong enough limelight effect. The light source used for gem lighting should be deposited around 6- 7 bases above the subject and angled straight down to point directly at the subject. The intensity of the light can be acclimated if demanded.
In film, cameo lighting is any lighting which has the talent in light, accentuating them and maybe a few props in a scene. It is often done using spotlights with barn doors.
